Binary Output Signals

The number of output binary signals and their output terminals vary depending on the relay
models. See Appendix G for details. For all models, all outputs except the tripping command,
signal for command protections and relay failure signal can be configured.
The signals shown in the signal list in Appendix B can be assigned to the output relay
individually or in arbitrary combinations. Signals can be combined using either an AND circuit
or OR circuit with 6 gates each as shown in Figure 3.2.2. The output circuit can be configured
according to the setting menu. Appendix D shows the factory default settings.
A 0.2s delayed drop-off timer can be attached to these assigned signals. The delayed drop-off
time is disabled by the scheme switch [BOTD].
The relay failure contact closes when a relay defect or abnormality in the DC power supply
circuit is detected.
