Rack mounting the SCS
The HP SCS ships with rack-mounting brackets for easy
integration into the rack. Install the SCS so that you can
connect cables between the serial devices and the SCS serial
ports and you can connect a LAN interface cable between the
Ethernet hub or switch and the SCS LAN connector.
IMPORTANT: Before mounting the SCS, note the media
access control (MAC) address on the top of all 16-port SCS
and the bottom of all 48-port SCS.
Performing the 16-port SCS rack mount
The 16-port SCS can be installed in either the front or rear of the
rack, depending on your rack configuration, and can be secured to
the shelf in the following positions.
The SCS ships in the middle of the rack shelf, in the standard mount
position.

Use the T-5 screws to secure the 16-port SCS to the shelf in one
of the previous positions.
