Remove scraps left in the Paper Feed Slot
Follow these steps to remove any scraps left in the Paper Feed Slot after you clear jammed sheets or roll paper.

On the Tab Selection screen of the Control Panel, press ◀ or ▶ to se-
lect
(Settings/Adj. tab).
If the Tab Selection screen is not displayed, press the Menu button.

Press the OK button.
Set./Adj. Menu is displayed.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select Maintenance, and then press the OK button.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select Clear remain pcs, and then press the OK button.

Open the Top Cover.

Fold an A4 sheet lengthwise four times and insert it through
the gap of the Back Cover. Push the scrap out toward the
Platen.

Remove the scrap when it is pushed out onto the Platen.

If any scraps remain inside the paper feed slot, repeat steps 6 and 7.

Close the Top Cover.
If "Press OK and remove any remaining fragments of paper." is displayed after the message "Please
Wait..", fragments of paper may remain that have not been cleared away. Press OK and repeat the procedure

from step 5 to clear away all of the paper fragments from the paper feed slot.

Roll paper cannot be inserted into the paper feed slot

The roll paper is warped.
Paper is jammed by the paper feed slot.
After a roll was advanced, the paper was manually pulled out by force, clos-
ing the Paper Feed Slot.

Corrective Action
Straighten out curls and reload the roll.
Remove the jammed paper.
