DESCRIPTION:

Increasing the talkback volume

ACTION:

To increase the talkback volume, reduce R21 from 91 ohms to 10 ohms.
Refer to the following page for the location of R21.

ADJUSTMENTS:

None

NOTES:

WARNING:
also increase the possibility for acoustic feedback. If the radio squeals when
transmitting, then turn down the talkback volume. Depending on the
microphone that is used and the location of the speaker, this modification may
render the talkback feature unusable due to squealing. Note that this issue may
not occur until a later date, simply by changing one or more of the following:

This modification will increase the talkback volume, which will
1. Connecting a different microphone.
2. Connecting a different speaker.
3. Changing the location of the speaker.
4. Installing the radio in a different vehicle.
