Operation

Laundry feed board

Large, flat pieces of laundry are best ironed
using the laundry feed board to prevent
creases and folds occuring.
It can be removed for ironing shaped pieces
of clothing.
To remove or replace the feed board:
Lift the feed board out of the plastic retainers
on the left and right hand side of the ironer to
remove it and insert it into the plastic retainers
to replace it.

Roller speed

Depending on the type and the residual
moisture content of the fabric the roller
speed can be freely adjusted from
1.3 - 3.5 metres per minute by manually
turning the roller speed selector.

Ironing

Arrange the items of laundry on the feed
board so that they are straight, then
smooth them out.
Then turn the roller by hand, ALWAYS
KEEPING THE HANDS AWAY FROM
THE HEATER PLATE, so that the edge of
the articles to be ironed can be held fast by
the heater plate.
Then:
Press down on the foot pedal switch.
M.-Nr. 3658530 - GB -
Whilst ironing smooth the laundry out across
the laundry feed board starting in the middle
and working outwards. When smoothing out
folds work as far away from the feed-in as
possible. Pillow cases and duvet covers
should be fed in open end first. Do not take
hold of corners from inside and do not hold on
to garment ties.
Tips
If creases appear in the item being ironed:
Stop the roller, pull the item slightly back and
smooth out. If necessary, dampen again with
a wet sponge or cloth.
If possible, always use the whole length of the
roller to maintain an overall smooth surface.
For small items such as handkerchiefs,
alternate between using the right and left
hand sides of the roller.
Items with raised buttons should be ironed
face down on to the roller so that they are
pressed into the elastic surface.
For the protection of the heater plate, non-
heat resistant and very large buttons should
not be passed through the ironer.
Bar for hanging laundry
Ironed laundry can be draped over the swing
out bar to prevent it from creasing.

Switching off

The heater plate lifts off the roller automati-
cally when the rocker switch " 0 " is switched
off.
