    Motoped Pro Owners Manual Introduction Before riding, take time to get acquainted with your MOTOPED® and how it works. To protect your investment, we urge you to take responsibility for keeping your MOTOPED® well maintained. Scheduled service is a must, of course. But it’s just as important to observe the break-in guidelines, and perform all the preride and other periodic checks detailed in this manual.

Regulations differ from state-to-state, so be sure to educate yourself about local regulations to determine that you're riding legally.     Motoped Pro Owners Manual Air Cleaner Proper air cleaner maintenance is very important for off-road vehicles. A dirty, watersoaked, worn-out, or defective air cleaner will allow dirt, dust, mud, and other impurities to pass into the engine. Service the air cleaner more frequently if you ride in unusually wet or dusty areas.

    Motoped Pro Owners Manual Spark Plug The spark plug is located on the right side of the cylinder head. Pull the spark plug cap off of the spark plug. Clean off the area surrounding the spark plug with compressed air or a shop towel.

    Any clean unleaded gasoline with a pump rating of 86 octane or higher. Octane rating will be displayed on the gas pump where you purchase it. Motoped recommends the use of 92 octane or higher to get the maximum performance from your bike.

    If the engine is cold, start it and let it idle for 3-5 minutes. Turn the engine off. Wait 2-3 minutes for the oil to settle. Support the MOTOPED® vertically with a suitable stand or jack on a firm surface so that the bottom of the crankcase is level.

After most of the oil is drained, gently tilt the vehicle from side to side to drain the remaining oil. Pour the drained oil into a suitable container and dispose of it in an approved manner.

    Appearance and Care Frequent cleaning and polishing will keep your MOTOPED® looking newer longer. Frequent cleaning also identifies you as an owner who values your MOTOPED®. A clean MOTOPED® is also easier to inspect and service. While you’re cleaning, be sure to look for damage, wear, and gasoline or oil leaks.

    If an emission-related part on your vehicle is defective, the part will be repaired or replaced by APT Powersport. This is your emission control system DEFECTS WARRANTY. NOTICE! Use of any Motoped® brand vehicle in any type of competitive event completely and absolutely voids this and all other warranties offered by APT Powersport.
