Need help?
Do you have a question about the A-S201 and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
The Yamaha A-S201 amplifier may turn off suddenly while playing a disc due to its protection functions. If excess current is detected, the amplifier's protection mode may activate to prevent damage. Additionally, if there is an issue with the volume control encoder, it could cause erratic behavior, but this is more related to volume instability rather than sudden shutdowns. If the amplifier frequently shuts off, running the self-diagnostic function may help identify the cause, but disabling protection functions can risk further damage.
