CHECK LIST
1. Mains switched on
2. Fuse in switch
3. Fuse blown
4. All external controls call for heat
5. Boiler stat calls for heat
6. Limit stat tripped - Light on
7. Boiler at lock out - Light on
8. Faulty external wiring
9. Faulty external controls
10. Burner control box faulty
11. Boiler control panel wiring faulty
12. Burner motor seized
CHECK FOR
1. Oil in the tank
2. All valves open from tank to burner
3. Fire valve correctly set
4. Filter blocked
5. Air lock in fuel lines
6. Nozzle blocked
7. Pump pressure correct
8. Pump rotates:- Is it correct
for either one or two pipe
9. Pump drive coupling faulty
10. Solenoid valve not opening
ACTION
Switch on
Fit a fuse
Replace fuse
Set to call for heat
Set to an "ON" position
Reset limit stat
Reset
Repair if necessary
Check that they are operating
Check by fitting spare box
Check & refer to wiring diagram
Section 1
Remove and check ease of rotation
ACTION
Re-Fill
Open valves
Set as per manufactures instructions
Clean and replace elements
Bleed burner
Replace nozzle
Set to correct pressure refer to
Burner Instructions
Dismantle pump from Motor
and check freedom of rotation
Remove pump and examine
coupling for signs of wear and
damage, refer to Burner Instructions
Check operation of the solenoid
valve
