Your new water softener/conditioner is very efficient in its salt and water usage. The system is completely automatic and will contribute to better and longer service of all your water-using appliances.

Page 5: Installation Procedures
INSTALLATION INSPECTION IS YOUR HOME PRE-PLUMBED? Your home is pre-plumbed for a water softener/ conditioner if you have a loop in the garage or laundry room. Typically, there will be 110 volt outlet within 6 feet of the loop and a 1/2” drain line stubbed out of the wall. - Page 6 WARNING: Do not attempt to remove the red locking bar (KS5 & KS10 only). Connect the other end of the 3/8” black line to the fitting on top of the brine float located at the top of the brine well inside the brine tank.

Note: The factory default is 18 GPG (Grains Per Gallon). It is a good idea to set your hardness a few grains higher than your actual hardness because hardness can vary throughout the year.
- Page 10 For an Extra Cycle, simply push in the REGEN button. This button is located on the front of the control. It will take a few minutes for regeneration to start. However, should a problem or question arise regarding the operation of the system, the control can very easily be serviced. -
