Some resolutions other than two 3MP screens or one 6MP screen are supported, but their display performance is not guaranteed. Doing so may result in slight differences of luminance and color between left and right screen or a frame skip*. Note: Mixed resolution confi gurations are not supported by the NEC GammaCompMD QA calibration software. * Frame skip: Difference of image display between left and right screens caused by fast movement of a cursor or window or by video display.
When using a USB hub... This display has a USB 2.0 compliant hub. By connecting the supplied USB cable to a USB 2.0 port of the computer or another USB 2.0 hub, USB devices can be connected to the display directly. With the computer and the display turned on, connect the supplied USB cable between the display’s USB upstream port and the computer’s USB 2.0 downstream port.
Caution: Do not touch the LCD luminance sensor. It may cause the set luminance level to change and/or the LCD to fail. USB downstream port (x2): An USB device with a maximum current consumption of 500mA per port can be connected to each port. Multiple MD302C6 displays, connected in a daisy chain, can be calibrated in succession by connecting the supplied USB cable between here and the next display’s USB upstream port.
Changing signal inputs Two methods to switch signal inputs are available, input port switching and input source switching. Press the appropriate buttons located on the front bezel of the display as follows. Input port switching “Input port” here means a combination of the input sources of DisplayPort and DVI. There are two input ports, INPUT 1 and INPUT 2.

Press the plus (+) button on the front bezel without displaying the OSD menu and the input source of INPUT 2 is switched. The following shows an example of the case when Displayport is selected for the input source of both INPUT 1 and Input 2, and the input source of INPUT 2 is switched to DVI.

Performing a DICOM conformance test NOTE: This function is available only when the display has been calibrated to DICOM GSDF. Performing a DICOM conformance test ensures DICOM conformance of the display by measuring and checking the display properties. The DICOM conformance test is recommended to be performed after 60 minutes of continuous active backlight time of the LCD panel.

If the maximum deviation (GSDF error) result does not conform to the AAPM TG18 guidelines, even though the test has been performed under the recommended conditions, calibrate the display using an external calibration sensor, i.e. the NEC model MDSVSENSOR3. During calibration with an external sensor, the front sensor of the display will be re-adjusted as well.
Switching the OSD menu Different menu contents can be shown for the menu screen by switching between “Reference Menu” and “Full Menu”. Full Menu allows setting changes. Select “MENU SELECTION” for switching menu contents. 1. Displaying the OSD main menu Press and hold the MENU button for 2 seconds.

Direct OSD setting menu The direct OSD setting menu allows function setting to be enabled or the mode setting to switch an input signal. Follow the instructions below. Enable Functions Explanation Disables both input signal switching and input port switching. (When you try disabled switching operation, the menu will show “LOCKED”). Disable Enables input source switching only. Enable Switching Input Source (When you try input port switching, the menu will show “LOCKED”).
Without a signal input from the computer, normally a display goes into energy saving mode and cannot show the OSD menu. MD302C6 can exit the energy saving mode temporarily and shows the OSD menu in the normal operation mode.
