1. Pour Teco-Sil between the base refractory and burner
as shown in Figure 16.4.

2. Using a high temperature black paint, fog the Teco-Sil
to the desired look. See below for fogging tips.
Fogging Tips
• Apply paint with the ember lights turned on. This will
help you avoid over fogging or under fogging. Prior to
painting, take precautions to prevent any overspray from
reaching the fl ame sensor. See Figure 16.4.
• Reduce the lighting in the room while applying the paint.
• Fog the Teco-Sil to create a realistic coal bed appear-
ance.
