To test the electrical switch on a Lincoln Electric Ranger 225 welder, follow these steps:

1. Check the Range Switch (S1): Ensure it is in the proper position and seated correctly.
2. Inspect Associated Wires: Look for loose or faulty connections related to the switch.
3. Test for Continuity: Use a multimeter to check if the switch is functioning properly.
4. Check Miscellaneous Leads: If there is no power output, inspect for open or disconnected leads.
5. Ensure Proper Grounding: Verify that the choke winding is not grounded to the choke iron.

If you do not understand the test procedures or cannot perform them safely, contact Lincoln Electric’s authorized service facility for assistance.
