    If the handset senses that it’s close to the base station when making or receiving a call your Orchid phone automatically reduces its power level by up to 75%. There is also a power level option switch on the base station that permanently reduces base the transmission power by up to 75%.

    Getting started Telephone connection 1. There are two different power adaptors supplied with your phone one for the Base Station and one for the telephone charger stand (more if you have a multi- handset model). You will recognize the Base Station Power Adaptor as it has the larger jack plug on the end of the lead.

To minimize the risk of interference do not position the base station in very close proximity to other electrical equipment such as televisions, VDUs, other telephones, fans, etc. This will minimize the risk of interference. Do not place the base station in areas where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or other major heat sources.
