PIN 1 / PIN 2

You can prevent misuse of your PABX by other parties by implementing various security functions. Your PABX set-
tings can be protected using your 4-digit PIN1 (code number). Access by external parties (remote access) is protected
using your 6-digit PIN2.
PIN 1 (4-digit): Security precaution against misuse of your PABX by other parties.
PIN1 is a 4-digit code number that is required when you wish to protect your system settings against unauthorized
access.
PIN 2 (6-digit): Security for settings made from external telephones
For the settings:

Call forwarding (Follow me) from external location
·
Room monitoring from external location
prevent unauthorized parties from using your PABX. Only after you enter this 6-digit PIN2 are you allowed to utilize
functions in your PABX that can be activated/deactivated from external telephones.
Note:
Remote access using this 6-digit PIN2 is only possible when this PIN2 has been changed individually, i. e. it is no
longer in its initial setting of 000000.

Changing PIN

Begin the configuration procedure (see page 45).
