    NEVER connect to and / or disconnect any other device from the picture optimizer plus II (SDI) via the in- & outputs, before having switched off the picture optimizer plus II (SDI) and all other devices and also having disconnected those from the main power supply.     The picture optimizer plus II (SDI) therefore uses a “trick“: Instead of processing an already adjusted signal from a player with black bars, it takes the unchanged format from the DVD with all lines (16:9) and converts it into the selected output format itself once optimization is done.
  • Page 22 IMPORTANT: In case you use a DVD Player as video source, the integrated format conversion should always be set to 16:9 when connected to a picture optimizer plus II (SDI). Otherwise the DVD video signal, in case larger than 4:3, is “equipped” with black bars by the player. Only when set to 16:9 your player delivers the highest resolution video signal to the picture optimizer plus II (SDI).

    All settings done in the input setup always refer to the input currently active (“active input“) and are automatically saved for this input. Please note: Each video source connected to the picture optimizer plus II (SDI) needs to be configured separately. Settings done for e.g. “SCART 1“ are not applicable for e.g. “YUV 2“.
