One (1) Installation Guide UNPACKING AND INSPECTION After unpacking your new AD-8x Audio Distribution System, save all of the packing materials in case you ever have to ship the unit. Thoroughly inspect the AD-8x and packing materials for signs of damage.

5. Phone System - RJ-11 A single phone line can be brought into the RJ-11 connection on the back of the PDM-1. The ring voltage from the phone line will trigger the AD-8x system to mute. *Note: PDM-1 sold separately.
The AD-8x can be mounted in a component rack using the included rack mounting ears. Align the rack mounting ears with the screw holes located on the sides of the AD-8x near the front. Fasten the rack ears to the AD-8x using three screws (supplied). Remove feet before mounting in a rack.

Use standard Cat-5 cable between the RSP-1 Remote Source Plate and the RJ-45 jacks on the rear of the AD-8x. The RSP-1 has stereo RCA jacks and a 3.5mm mini stereo jack for connecting to the output of the audio source.
