Questions and answers
I **** trying to enter a 7 digit identification number, however it will not allow me to type in the number six ,which is the last one .This also occured recently when trying to enter a 4 digit area code it would not type the number five, the third one in the sequence.
There could be several reasons why you can't type the number six on your Lenovo IdeaPad S100:
1. Keyboard Issue: The key may be physically damaged or non-functional.
2. Num Lock or Fn Key: If the keyboard has a Num Lock function or an Fn key combination affecting number input, check if it is enabled or disabled.
3. Software or Driver Issue: The keyboard driver may have a problem. Try restarting the laptop or updating the driver.
4. Incorrect Keyboard Layout: If the keyboard layout is set incorrectly in the operating system, it may affect key inputs.
5. Hardware Failure: If none of the above resolve the issue, the keyboard may need to be replaced.
If the issue persists, try using an external keyboard to check if the problem is specific to the built-in keyboard.
