3.3 REPLACEMENT OF CHIP COMPONENT 3.3.1 CAUTIONS (1) Avoid heating for more than 3 seconds. (2) Do not rub the electrodes and the resist parts of the pattern. (3) When removing a chip part, melt the solder adequately. (4) Do not reuse a chip part after removing it. 3.3.2 SOLDERING IRON (1) Use a high insulation soldering iron with a thin pointed end of it.

STATIC CONVERGENCE ADJUSTMENT (1) Input a crosshatch signal. (2) Using 4-pole convergence magnets, overlap the red and blue lines in the centre of the screen (Fig. 4) and turn them to magenta (red/blue). (3) Using 6-pole convergence magnets, overlap the magenta(red/blue) and green lines in the centre of the screen (FRONT VIEW) and turn them to white.

When an abnormality has been detected, the SUB POWER is turned off and POWER LED flashes to inform of the failure.
