Introduction Thank you for purchasing an Instant Ear Thermometer. Please read the following instructions to achieve the most accurate temperatures and safe operation. With proper care and use, your thermometer will provide you with many years of reliable readings. Your Instant Ear Thermometer is intended for monitoring human body tempera- ture in the home and is appropriate for all ages.
General Care & Important Information • Never use for purposes other than body temperature measurement. • Only use under the supervision of an adult. Never leave the thermometer with unattended infants or children. • Earwax in the ear canal may cause an inaccurate reading. Consult with your healthcare professional for proper removal and ear cleaning procedures.
Taking a Reading 1) Press and hold the POWER/SCAN button for one second, then release. The system will perform a self-test, Fig 1. Fig. 1 2) After performing the self-test, the display will show the last temperature taken, Fig. 2. The thermometer will beep indicating that the unit is ready for measurement.
Recalling Measurements in Memory The last 10 measurements taken are automatically stored into memory. To recall measurements, press the MEM button. Continue to press the MEM button to view the next previously stored measurement, Fig. 1.
