Instant Approval Architecture Menu
In the Instant Approval Architecture (IAA) in a Hasselblad digital camera or digital
back images are given a green, yellow, or red status based on the exposure. In the
Menu/Storage/Delete setting, you have the option to delete only the red marked images, only
the red and yellow marked images, or all images. Make your choice and the deleting process
will follow your instructions.
Proceed as described above until you see the Delete message. Depress the
until you see All Red In Batch or All Yellow and Red In Batch. Press OK. If the storage media
is full, the IAA automatically deletes the red images to give you more storage space for well-
exposed images.
CLEANING THE SENSOR UNIT
With digital cameras and digital backs, keeping the sensor unit clean is more important than
worrying about the cleanliness of lenses, viewfi nders, and focusing screens. Any dust particle
in front of the sensor will be recorded in the image as dark or colored spots and possibly
spoil or ruin an otherwise good digital image. If you see such marks it is defi nitely time to
clean the fi lter.
Hasselblad completely covers the sensor with an infrared fi lter making it inaccessible.
So your concern is really keeping the fi lter clean, not the sensor. Keeping things clean is eas-
ier than cleaning them. Leave the sensor unit attached to the camera where it is least likely
exposed to dust. As mentioned earlier there are only two reason for removing a digital back
from a Hasselblad camera body, one when attaching a fi lm magazine and the other for clean-
ing the infrared fi lter. Whenever the digital sensor unit is off the camera, even for a short time,
button. You can delete any single stored image after you bring that
button brings up the option This Image, which will delete just the
or
buttons until you see the message
or
