Accessories Use only Kyocera-approved accessories with Kyocera phones. Use of any unauthorized accessories may be dangerous and will invalidate the phone warranty if said accessories cause damage or a defect to the phone. ETTING TARTED Installing the battery Your phone comes with a removable Strobe lithium ion (LI Ion) battery. Fully charge the battery before using the phone To install the battery: Hold the phone face down. Locate the groove on the left side of the phone. Unsnap the hooks and remove the back cover.

Understanding screen icons These icons may appear on your phone’s screen. The phone is operating in IS2000 (1X) digital mode. The phone is operating in IS95 digital mode. The phone is operating in Analog (FM) mode. The phone is receiving a signal. You can make and receive calls.
AKING AND NSWERING Phone calls Making a call Make sure you are in an area where a signal can be received. Look for the home screen. The more bars you see in this symbol, the stronger the signal. If there are no bars, move to where the signal strength is better.
Redialing a number • To redial a recent call, press open your recent calls list. Highlight a phone number or name and press To redial the last number called, Tip: received, or missed, press three times. Creating and editing prewritten messages (QuickText) Your phone comes with prewritten (QuickText) messages, such as “Please call me,” which you can insert into the body of a text message. You can edit these messages and create new ones. Your phone stores up to 40 QuickText messages, with up to 100 characters per message.
