Vocalis speakers and WERSI Sonic instrument. If you’ve aquired your WERSI Sonic via a non WERSI Dealer (on the used market for example) you can purchase WERSI Vocalis 120 HD Speakers direct from your local WERSI Dealer.
Let us take the time to get to know your instrument. It’s important that you should feel comfortable with your new Sonic to get the maximum music making enjoyment from it. Like all newly developed instruments, learning to use the Sonic naturally will have a learning curve.
Every Style has 4 variaitons, 4 x fills, 2 x breaks and 3 x Intro / Endings. The 8 tracks consist of 2 Drum tracks, 1 Bass track and 5 ‘band’ tracks. A style also uses the WERSI Longwave Digital Drum Kits (made up of multi-layer dynamic samples).

WERSI Total Preset buttons of the OAS and CD-Line, many are used to the registration styling of buttons between manuals found on many Japanese manufactured organs and our later OAS 7 organs.
Vintage WERSI plugin that simulates the WERSI Galaxy and WERSI Spectra using pure sine sam- ples taken directly form a real WERSI Galaxy and Spectra organs respectively. This super emu- lation of the Vintage WERSI is currently in development and will be released for the Sonic in a future software update.

PLEASE NOTE: The new ‘Live’ innovations of the new Sonic are industry firsts. We first developed the ‘Accordion’ control with OAS 7 and then incorperated it into the Pegasus Wing too. The Sonic is the first instrument where it is standard and presented in a new and exciting user friendly fash- ion.

WERSI SONIC USER MANUAL 1.7 VOLUME DRAWBARS - Every aspect of the Sonic can be controlled directly by the grey Volume Drawbars on the left hand side of the Touch Display Screen. Accompaniment Volumes SONG - This grey volume drawbar controls the overall volume of the Accompaniment section. It also acts as the volume control for MIDI and Audio Sequences.
1.8 Accompaniment Controls / Rotor Control The Sonic features a very similar Rhythm Control set as the later OAS 7 models. For familiarity and popularity of the ease of control, we’ve choosen to retain the design of these successful WERSI models.

IMPORTANT: The louder the sound, the shorter the time period before damage occurs. 15. Some WERSI products may have benches and/or accessory mounting fixtures that are either sup- plied as a part of the product or as optional accessories. Some of these items are designed to be dealer assembled or installed.
We have mentioned already in this manual that the new Sonic is in a constant state of development. It is important that you realise that as a customer of WERSI and the owner of the new WERSI Sonic, that your instrument will continually be improved, expanded and more over the next 24 months and beyond.
In the coming months, this page will become obselete, but at this time, it is important that while we work on the next software release of the new Sonic software that we keep our customers fully informed on the progress of the software and instrument development.
The next display to be shown will be the loading ‘Welcome’ display: The Sonic will load through it’s startup process (the percentage is shown on the display). There are four option ‘tick boxes’ on the display that you can select or deselect as you choose fit.

1.2 The Main Display: EASY MODE When the Sonic has loaded, it’s ready for normal operation. We’ll look at Easy Mode first. Infact, the first chapters of the Sonic are dedicated to Easy Mode. We will look at the Professional ‘Profi’ mode further into this manual.

Simply press the ‘Power’ button to power up your Sonic. The Sonic will load the new ‘startup’ sequence. The new software will load and the new ‘Easy Mode’ will be launched. The WERSI Sonic is naturally in a state of constant development. It is our brand new instrument and flagship. We will release new software releases regularly to improve and expand your instrument, as well as implement functions listed in the specification.

One sound is available for the Pedal in the Easy Mode. Please note that in Easy Mode you cannot split the pedal board. This is because only one sound can be selected! 2.1 How to Change Sounds. Changing the sounds on your Sonic is very easy. Simply press on the sound choice that you wish to change and select a sound from the right hand panel of your Sonic by pressing on of the buttons.
2.2 How to turn sounds on and off. It’s easy to turn sounds on and off on the new Sonic in the Easy Mode. You’ll recongise these buttons already (found next to the Total Preset buttons to the left of the main display).

Akkordenkerennung - Chord Options. Choose what mode you would like to play in. It is here that you select the mode that you would like to play in. The Sonic is an intelligent instrument and therefore unlike older models where there were 8 different chord modes, the Sonic only requires 4 modes.

So, in short, you can decide if your acocmpaniment changes in realtime as you play a new chord on the Sonic, or whether you choose for it to change on either: 1. Bar - chord will only change on the next bar 2.

Sub-Categories To help you make it even easier when trying to locate a specific sound, we also have sub-categories on the Sonic. So for example, if you selected ‘Drawbars’ from the Categories area, you’ll then see sub categories such as ‘B3’, ‘WERSI’, ‘Perc’, ‘Distor’ and so on (all types of drawbar sounds!).

Sort Alphabetically - When this box is ticked, the list of Accompaniments will be sorted in alphabetical order. If left unticked, the list will remain in Style database order. Import - Import new Styles into the Sonic. Styles that can be imported are with the following file extension: .stw, .sty & .sto Modify Acc - This opens the area where you can rename, modify style category assignments and even delete styles (not factory styles).

The delay effect is an ‘Echo’ type effect. MIX - Effect Mix intensity with the dry sound (normal sound) SYNC - Affects how syncronised the delay effect is with the tempo of the Sonic. Delay - The Delay effect in seconds (0.394s in our example).

However if you’ve altered the structure of the MIDI file beyond the style player specification, you’ll be prompted by a warning that the Style player couldn’t accept the MIDI file.
