There is no sound output at all. Amp powers up but no sound from my guitar.

Possible reasons for no sound output from your Fender Eighty-Five amp despite it powering up include:

1. Bad Input Jack – The input jack may be faulty. Try plugging the guitar into the power amp input to check if sound comes through.
2. Faulty Connections – Use a jumper cable from the preamp out to the power amp in to see if the signal passes through.
3. Broken Resistor – A large sandcast resistor with a broken leg could be the issue. Inspect and resolder if necessary.
4. Defective Jacks – Older Fender solid-state amps often have weak jacks that may need replacement.
5. Speaker Issues – Try using a different speaker or check the existing speaker for faults.
6. Headphone Output Test – Plug in headphones to see if sound is coming through them.

These steps can help diagnose and potentially fix the issue.

Nothing from the headphones. Plugging into either input 1 or 2 is the same. I have checked the clear fuse and it isn't blown. New cable, different guitar.
