- Page 3 This heating unit is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. NEVER locate heating unit where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. DO NOT run cord under carpeting. DO NOT cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange cord away from traffic areas where it will not be tripped over.

OPERATION This Section will explain the function of each convenient control. The heater may emit a slight, harmless odor when first used. This odor is a normal condition caused by initial heating of internal heater parts and will not occur again. mANUAL CONTROLS To access controls, grab edge of top panel and pull door downward. -

(mANUAL CONTROLS CONTINUED) approximately every 7 minutes to clear the fireplace of heated air to ensure an accurate room temperature reading by the thermostat. Setting the Thermostat First confirm that the thermostat is turned to Hi (all the way to the right). next turn the main power on the heating unit on. Then turn either the lOw or Hi heat mode button on. - Page 6 AYR filter frame and reposition the fireplace for normal operation. The Amish fragrances will now pass through the fireplace and out into the room during operation. nOTe: Use only approved Heat Surge Amish scents on the AYR filtration system. These scents have been tested and have been found to be non-toxic and non-flammable.

TROUbLEShOOTING Make sure the fireplace is plugged in. is outlet controlled by a wall switch? Make sure the power button is turned on. No Power to FirePlace Make sure the fireplace is not tilted. if the unit turned off by itself, unplug for 10 minutes and retry. Verify house breaker is on. -

(mAINTENANCE CONTINUED) filter frame from the back of the fireplace by firmly grabbing the magnetic frame and separating it from the heating unit. next, push the standard blue filter out of the frame. wash the filter with a garden hose or in the bath tub. Use the water pressure to thoroughly remove the dust. - Page 9 CLEANING CleAninG And MAinTAininG THe wOOd MAnTle The Amish made fireplace mantle will retain its beauty for many years with a few simple steps. CleAninG: it is ok to wipe down the mantle with a water dampened cloth and mild soap. Refrain from using strong or abrasive cleansers.
