6. CALIBRATION AND SEALING

6. Calibration
For best results, calbrate the scale at regular ntervals. Temperature changes,
geographc gravty varatons, alttude changes and abuse are few reasons why a
scale may need recalbraton.
Note: The followng procedure requres the use of hand tools and calbraton
weghts. If unable to perform the calbraton, contact an authorzed Ohaus servce
organzaton.
1. Remove the battery cover to access the two calbraton pns located n
a slot at the bottom of the scale. Wth the scale on under battery power,
short the calbraton pns (a small slotted screwdrver may be used).
Note: When accessng the bottom of the scale, avod placng the scale
upsde down on the pan or sub-platform. Place the scale on ts sde.
2. "SEtUP" then the frst parameter "CtY" s dsplayed.
3. Press -Yes successvely to move through the succeedng parameters:
"dEF NO" "S1", "S2", "S3", "S4", "S5", "S6", "dSP", "S8", "S9", "S10",
"S11", "S12", "bAt", "GEO".
Note: Do not change the settngs of these parameters. These are servce
setup parameters ntended for authorzed servcng use only.
4. After "GEO", "CAL NO" s dsplayed. Press -No to swtch the settng to
"CAL YES".
5. "CAL YES" s dsplayed. Press -Yes to enter calbraton sequence.
