    Groove The grates located on the left and right side of the cooktop contain grooves. These grooves must always face inward toward the control knobs to hold the grates in place.     Using the Surface Burners Using the control knobs Your cooktop comes with electric ignitors. Electric ignitors automatically light the burners each time you turn the con- trol knobs to LITE. • Place a filled pan on the burner grate before turning on the surface burner.

    • Follow manufacturer’s instructions. • Heats very quickly and evenly. • Used as a core or base in cookware to provide even heating. • Can be used for cooktop cooking if recommended by the manufacturer. • Use on low settings.

    Your Cooktop Your cooktop is designed so you can care for it easily. You can do most cleaning with items found around your home. Cleaning your cooktop whenever spills or soiling occurs will help to keep it looking and working like new.

    ALWAYS keep the burner cap in place whenever a surface burner is in use. • Let the cooktop cool before cleaning. • Do not use oven cleaners, bleach, or rust removers.
