[Circuitry Access] Do not remove covers, panels, casing, or access circuitry with power applied to the unit! Turn power off and disconnect power cord prior to removal. 1-3. About This Manual This manual is intended to help the user easily operate the MV-160HS and make full use of its functions during operations. Before connecting or operating your unit, read this operation manual thoroughly to ensure you understand the product. After reading, it is important to keep this manual in a safe place and available for reference.

12+ GRP4 split Split Screen Patterns and Windows The preset split screen patterns of MV-160HS are consist of windows and groups. The numbers in each window in the figures above are window numbers, and the GRP1, 2, 3 and 4 indicate groups. Each group can be set to full or quad display. Changing group display can add more variations of split screens.
3-2. Group Output FULL/QUAD OUTPUT 1 to 4 are connecters for GROUP outputs. Each group connector, group 1 (GRP1), group 2 (GRP2), group 3 (GRP3) and group 4 (GRP4), outputs corresponding 4 windows in full or quad screen mode. The display mode can be set for respective groups. See section 4-8.
3-3. Window Display Layout Title, Sign marker (tally display), Frame marker and Audio level meter can be added to windows respectively. Border can be also added to the windows of preset 6 patterns that can be selected by buttons on the front panel. The example below is 16 split screen.
4. Operating Procedure 4-1. Operation at Startup Assure all the necessary connections, and turn ON the power switches on the front panel. After the power is turned ON, operation resumes from the last screen when it was turned OFF. If menu is displayed when the unit was turned OFF, operation resumes from the screen previous to the menu display.

4-4. Assigning Input Video to Window The following is the procedure to assign an input video to a window. This example is the procedure to assign INPUT 5 to WINDOW 3 in 16 split screen mode. 1) Press the 16 split screen button among SPLIT buttons. 2) Press WINDOW button 3 .
4-5. Setting Window Display This section explains how to set window display with examples. Firstly, let's set a title "CAMERA1" for window 1. Then add a frame marker and an audio level meter. Lastly, set a title for window 2 the same as window 1 and change the title for window 2 to "CAMERA2".

4-6. Tally Settings WINDOW title, sign marker and frame marker display can be linked with Tally signal. Three colors, RED, GREEN and UMBER are available. The necessary settings for the Tally displays are as follows. For the Tally signal input, see section 7-1. "Tally Input (TALLY IN)".
