To clean the Aircare MA0800 humidifier console:

1. Empty the Unit: Remove and empty the water bottle and base.
2. Disinfect the Base and Bottle: Add 1 teaspoon (5 mL) of bleach to each and let sit for 20 minutes.
3. Do Not Mix Vinegar with Bleach: Use either bleach or vinegar separately.
4. Wipe with Vinegar or Bleach: Dampen a sponge with white vinegar or bleach and wipe the base.
5. Rinse Thoroughly: Ensure all cleaning solution is removed.
6. Dry Completely: Wipe all parts dry.
7. Replace the Wick Filter: Install a new wick if needed.

9. Storage Instructions: If storing, discard the used wick, disinfect the unit, dry it, and store in a temperature-controlled place. Do not install a new wick until ready for use.

The Aircare MA0800 humidifier can be placed on the floor, but it should be on a level surface and not on soft carpet. It should also be positioned at least 4 inches away from walls or curtains and not placed directly in front of a hot air duct or radiator.

Should I use warm or cold water to fill? This is the 2nd year of operation. Last year it worked flawlessly. With a new filter this year, it will not humidify more than 30% whereas it achieved 40% or more last year. What could cause the change?

CF means "CHECK YOUR FILTER" and appears after 720 hours of use to remind you to check the wick filter. To reset the CF code, unplug the humidifier, check the wick, and replace it if necessary. Then, plug the unit back in.
