The provided context does not contain specific instructions on centering the needle for the White 2037 sewing machine. However, you may check the machine's instruction manual for details on needle position adjustment. If the manual does not include this information, try looking for a stitch width or needle position adjustment dial on the machine, as these are common ways to center the needle.

@Phyllis Green try turning the bottom knob on the right side of the machine. It adjusts needle position and pattern. Stitch width is on top.

I can't get the knob on the lower right side to work. Its the needle adjustment for stitches and patterns. It's stuck on 20, 21. It'll turn, no clicks, and no movement on #'s or needle. Stuck on ugly zigzag design. I just need a straight stitch!

To fix a stuck needle adjustment knob on a White sewing machine model 2037, follow these steps:

1. Turn Off and Unplug – Ensure the machine is powered off and unplugged for safety.

2. Check for Obstructions – Inspect the area around the knob for lint, thread, or debris that may be blocking movement.

3. Apply Gentle Pressure – Try to move the knob back and forth gently. Do not force it, as this may cause damage.

4. Lubricate the Mechanism – Use sewing machine oil to lubricate the knob's internal components:
- Apply a small amount of oil to the base of the knob.
- Let it sit for a few minutes.
- Gently try turning the knob again.

5. Loosen Screws if Necessary – If the knob remains stuck, check if there are screws holding it in place:
- Carefully loosen them slightly.
- Try moving the knob again.
- Retighten once the knob moves freely.

6. Check for Mechanical Issues – If lubrication and loosening screws do not work, internal parts may be misaligned or jammed. In this case:
- Remove the machine’s cover (if comfortable doing so).
- Inspect internal gears and moving parts.
- Look for broken or misaligned components.

7. Seek Professional Help – If the knob remains stuck after these steps, consult a sewing machine technician for further inspection and repair.

These steps should help resolve the issue and restore proper function to the needle adjustment knob.
