  • Page 5 Warning and Safety instructions Correct application The appliance is not designed for commercial use. It is intended for use in domestic households and similar working and residential environments. The appliance is not intended for outdoor use. It is intended for domestic use only as described in these operating instructions.
  • Page 6 Warning and Safety instructions Safety with children Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the appliance unless they are constantly supervised. Children 8 years and older may only use the appliance unsupervised if they have been shown how to use it in a safe way and recognise and understand the consequences of incorrect operation.

Installation, maintenance and repairs by unqualified persons could be dangerous. A damaged appliance can be dangerous. Before installation, check the appliance for visible signs of damage. Do not use a damaged appliance.
  • Page 8 If the connection cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a suitably qualified electrician with a specialist connection cable of type H 05 VV-F ( (pvc insulated), available from the Miele. The appliance must be disconnected from the mains electricity supply during installation, maintenance and repair work.
  • Page 9 Warning and Safety instructions Correct use You could burn yourself on the hot drawer or crockery. Protect your hands with heat-resistant pot holders or gloves when handling hot dishes. Do not let them get wet or damp, as this causes heat to transfer through the material more quickly with the risk of scalding or burning yourself.
  • Page 10 Warning and Safety instructions Depending on the temperature selected and the length of time the appliance is being used, the inside of the drawer can get extremely hot during use, and remain hot for some time after being switched off. Be careful not to touch it when the drawer is open. To minimise the risk of burning yourself on the inside of the drawer, always pull it out as far as it will go before removing crockery.

    Installing the appliance ^ Push the appliance into the housing unit as far as the vapour strip and align it. Ensure that the housing unit is aligned at a right angle. ^ Open the drawer, and use the 2 screws supplied to secure the appliance to the side walls of the housing unit.
