    Section 6 - Selecting A Vehicle Seating Location What is LATCH? LATCH is a new system for attaching the child restraint to your vehicle seat. LATCH connects a child restraint to your automobile without using a seat belt. It is called Universal Anchorage System (UAS) in Canada or ISOFIX in Europe.
