If you are not sure whether your cat has a microchip, then just ask your vet to scan for it. The Pet Porte Smart Flap is designed to read the most common type of micro- chip, the FDX-B; it will not read other types of microchip. Safety First Pet Porte cat flaps have been designed with safety for you and your animals in mind. However, please follow these guidelines to ensure your safety, especially during installation. 1) Simply clean the cat flap with a damp (not wet) cloth, or antistatic wipe. Never use household polish as this may damage the product. -

Default Mode Should you wish to reset your Smart Flap back to its Default Mode, with no other modes running, please use the following procedure. To enter the Default Mode, press and hold the Green Button for greater than 25 seconds, or until the unit emits a series of short beeps, before releasing the button. -

How do I put flap so fully unlocked out and in
To fully unlock and adjust the Petporte Smart Flap, follow these steps:
1. Ensure Proper Power Connection: Confirm that the scanner wire and power cable are securely connected. If using an extension lead, check for any loose connections.
2. Reset the Smart Flap (if needed):
- Unplug the power supply.
- Remove the battery.
- Press and hold the red button for 10-15 seconds to clear the circuit board.
- Reconnect the power and hold the green button for 30 seconds to restore default settings.
- Reinsert the battery.
3. Adjust the Read Range (for multi-cat homes):
- Have someone assist you.
- Close the flap and adjust the read range settings as needed.
4. Secure the Flap in Place:
- Attach the large cover and secure it using two M6 self-tapping screws.
- Click the small cover into place.
- Tighten all screws to hold the flap in the desired position.
