Embroidery Template

Because the embroidery designs are pic tured
actual size in the booklet, it is easy to place
the embroidery in the desired position on your
garment or project.
1. Place the template over the picture of the
selected design in the booklet.
2. Use the template pencil to trace the outline
of the design onto the template.
3. Use the template to position the design on
the project to be em broi dered. Through
cut outs on the template, mark the center
point, the sides and the top and bottom of
the embroidery area on the project with the
Pictogram Pen™.
4. When hooping the fabric (see previous
page), place the fabric and the inner hoop
so that the markings on the fabric match the
markings on the inner hoop.
Take the time to be sure the marks are all
aligned.
5. Push the inner hoop into the outer hoop and
tighten the screw with the Screw Grip.

Slide on the Hoop

Slide the hoop onto the em broi dery arm until it
clicks into place.
The marked center point on the design should
match the starting point of the needle. If minor
adjustment is needed, touch the positioning
buttons
(see page 4-6).
: To remove the hoop from the embroidery arm,
NOTE
press the grey button on the hoop attachment and
slide the hoop toward you.

I cannot get the foot of the sewing machine to go down on top of the throat plate. It will not go up or down.

To fix the foot on the Husqvarna Viking Designer SE sewing machine that is stuck and won't move up or down, follow these steps:

1. Check the Free Motion Setting: If Free Motion mode is activated, the foot may behave differently. In Free Motion, the foot raises and lowers with each stitch below 200 stitches per minute and floats over the fabric above that speed. Turn off Free Motion mode if it's not needed.

2. Sensor Q-Foot Mode: If the machine is set for the Sensor Q-foot, it limits stitch width and may affect foot movement. Turn off this setting if you are not using the Sensor Q-foot.

3. Power Cycle the Machine: Turn off the machine using the ON/OFF switch, unplug it from the wall and the machine, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This may reset the foot positioning mechanism.

4. Check for Obstructions: Ensure there is no fabric, thread, or debris blocking the foot mechanism.

If the foot still does not move after these steps, there may be an internal mechanical or electronic issue requiring service.
