    KX-FP101AL 1.14.6. INSTALLING THE RECORDING PAPER Letter or legal size recording paper can be loaded. The paper tray can hold up to 150 sheets of 75 g/m (20 lb.) paper. You may use 60 g/m to 90 g/m (16 lb. to 24 lb.) paper.

TROUBLESHOOTING After confirming the problem by asking the user, troubleshoot according to the instructions and observe the following precautions. 2.1.2. PRECAUTIONS 1. Remarks: Regarding the reception problem, we have investigated the conceivable causes in the flow chart except for the software- related errors.
  • Page 46 KX-FP101AL 4. The unit can copy, but cannot transmit/receive. 5. The unit can copy, but cannot either transmit/receive long distance or international communications. The following two causes can be considered for this symptom. Cause 1: The other party is executing automatic dialing, the call has been received by this unit, and the CED or DIS signal response time is too long.

The sea bottom cable or satellite communication path (4 Line Type) (Echo/Echo Canceler) The signal from FAX1 reaches FAX2 via stations 1 and 2, but the reflection signal at station 2 also returns via station 1 (echo).

For transmission from this model to FAX2, FAX2 executes automatic reception and transmits a CED signal (2100 Hz) followed by a DIS signal. As the echo cancelers stops as described in cause B, the echo of the DIS signal returns to FAX2. On the other hand, this model detects the DIS signal and transmits a DCS signal.

The symptom: No response when the power is turned on. (No LCD display, and keys are not accepted.) The first step is to check the power source.
