SUNROOF

(where provided)
The "skydome" type sunroof consists
of two glass panels (a fixed one and a
sliding one) fitted with sun curtains
with two manual control positions
(open/closed). Sunroof operation is
possible only with the ignition key at
MAR. Buttons A and B-fig. 66, lo-
cated on the central ceiling light, con-
trol sunroof opening and closing.
Automatic opening
Press button A for longer than 1 sec-
ond to set the front glass panel to
spoiler position; press button A again
for longer than 1 second to open the
panel completely. After pressing the
button for the first time, the sunroof
can be opened at intermediate posi-
tions by pressing button A again.
Automatic closing
From fully-open position, press but-
ton B for longer than 1 second to set
the front panel to spoiler position;
press button B again for longer than
1 second to close the sunroof com-
pletely. After pressing the button for
the first time, the sunroof can be
opened at intermediate positions by
pressing button B again.

Manual opening / closing
Pressing button A or B, for less than
1 second will open or close the sun-
roof according to pressing length and
it will stop when releasing the button.
This function shall be used to
open/close the sunroof at intermedi-
ate positions with respect to automatic
opening/closing.
ANTI-CRUSHING SAFETY
SYSTEM
Sunroof is fitted with anti-crushing
safety system that detects the presence
of an obstacle during sunroof closing
stroke and that cuts in by stopping
and reversing the sunroof stroke.
INITIALISATION PROCEDURE
Sunroof shall be re-initialised after
disconnecting the battery or if the rel-
evant protection fuse is blown.
Proceed as follows:
❒ press button B-fig. 66 at close po-
sition;
❒ keep the button pressed to close

completely by steps the sunroof;
❒ after full closing, wait for sunroof
motor stopping.
When leaving the car, the ignition key
should be removed to prevent the
sunroof from being operated inadver-
tently and harming anyone remaining
in the car. Improper use of the sun-
roof can be dangerous. Before and
during its operation ensure that any
passengers are not at risk from the
moving roof either by personal objects
getting caught in the mechanism or
by being injured by it directly.
