Starting your vehicle

Starting the Hybrid system
Vehicles without an electronic key
1. Check that the parking brake is set.
2. Check that the shift lever is set in P.
3. Firmly depress the brake pedal.
Turn the switch to "START" position, continue
depressing the brake pedal until Hybrid system is
started.
The vehicle can move when the "READY" indicator is on.
Engine switch positions:
1. Lock: The steering wheel is locked and the key can
be removed.
2. ACC: Some electrical equipment such as audio can
be used.
3. On: All electrical equipment can be used.
4. Start: For starting the hybrid system.
Vehicles with an electronic key
1. Check that the parking brake is set.
2. Check that the shift lever is set in P.
3. Firmly depress the brake pedal.
Press the "POWER" switch, continue depressing the
brake pedal until Hybrid system is started.
