DTC P0101
Mass air flow (MAF) sensor range/performance problem
• The PCM monitors the input signal from the mass air flow sensor when the engine speed is between 600
rpm and 2,100 rpm. If the voltage characteristic of the air flow sensor signal is out of the threshold, the
PCM determines that there is a malfunction in the mass air flow sensor.
Diagnostic support note
• The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or
DETECTION
CONDITION
in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
• PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive
cycle.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
• The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
• MAF sensor malfunction
