OIL CHANGE
Pour the engine oil after replacing the oil filter
(See below).
Change the oil with the engine warm to assure
complete and rapid draining.
Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
Stop the engine and remove the oil filler cap.
Remove the drain bolt and drain the engine oil.
After the oil has drained, install the drain bolt with a
new sealing washer.
TORQUE:
Pour the recommended oil (page 3-10) into the
engine to the upper level mark on the dipstick.
OIL CAPACITY:
2.0 (2.1 US qt , 1.8 Imp qt)
2.5 (2.6 US qt , 2.2 Imp qt)
Install the oil filler cap.
Check the oil level (page 3-10).
After replacing, make sure there are no oil leaks.
ENGINE OIL FILTER
Drain the engine oil.
Remove the following:
cover bolts
filter cover and O-rings
oil filter
spring
Coat new O-rings with engine oil and install them
into the grooves in the filter cover and crankcase
cover.
Installing the oil
Install the spring between the lugs and a new oil
f ilter backwards
filter with the ''OUT-SIDE'' mark facing out, then set

TORQUE:
Fill the engine with the engine oil.
25 N·m (2.5 kgf·m , 18 lbf·ft)

Fuel drains out through the drain line
