This was a recent gift to me . I cannot charge my Mia 2. The charger does not seem to fit the device correctly. It leans off device and only fits in an upside down position and does not charge. It also will come on when no one is near it. Please advise

Your Clarisonic Mia 2 may not be charging properly or turning on due to several reasons:

1. Charging Issues: Ensure that the magnetic charger is correctly attached to the base and that the charge indicator light is fading in and out during charging. If it does not glow continuously after 24 hours, the charger or battery may be faulty.

2. Battery Life: The typical battery life of the Clarisonic Mia 2 is 2-5 years. If your device is older, the battery may no longer hold a charge.

3. Power Source: Try plugging the charger into a different outlet or using a different charger if available.

4. Device Response: If the device vibrates five times and does not turn on, this may indicate a battery or internal issue.

5. Water Damage: If the charger or device was exposed to water improperly, it may have caused internal damage.

If the problem persists, consider contacting customer service if your device is under warranty or replacing the battery, though this requires technical skills.
