Mechanical Dock Leveler – M and FMC
Before performing any adjustments, read the Trouble Shooting Section of this manual
for possible mechanical interference problems that must be corrected before
adjustments are made.

Following are detailed instructions for adjustments, listed as a sequence of steps.
The sequence must be followed to obtain correct and long lasting operation of the
unit.

ADJUSTMENT SEQUENCE and INSTRUCTIONS

Raise dock leveler and position maintenance strut and traffic barriers as required for
safety.
Important Note: Deck must be fully raised and lip in extended and locked
position before making adjusments. Observe the upper end of the lifting
arm to assure it is in contact with the stop blocks that limit its forward travel.
Step Number 1: Measure the distance between the end of the lip pusher shaft
and the headboard. 3/8" to ½" is the correct space

A – Lip Actuator Bar – 1/2" nom.
B – Lip Actuator Clevis – 6-3/4" nom.
C – Lip Actuator Spring – 3/4" nom
D – Lip Lock Spring – 3/-1/4" to 3-3/4"
E – Main Lift Spring – Factory Set
