What to do, if . . .
With the help of the following notes, minor faults in the performance of the
machine, some of which may result from incorrect operation, can be put right
without contacting the Service Department.

Repair work to electrical appliances should only be carried out by a
suitably qualified person in accordance with local and national safety
regulations. Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be
dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised work.
The programme does not start
Problem
The display remains
dark.
There is a fault
message in the display.
The display is dark and
the Start button is
flashing slowly.
Possible cause
There is no power to
the machine.
A programme cannot
be started while there
is a fault message in
the display.
The display has
switched off
automatically to save
energy (Standby
mode).
Problem solving guide
Remedy
Check whether
– the electricity supply to the
machine is switched on.
– the fuse or circuit breaker
has tripped.
– Note what is shown in the
display.
– Press the multi-function
selector (which will confirm
the message). The fault
message will be deleted.
Press the multi-fuction
selector. Standby comes to
an end.
