My microwave isn't heating up anything, why?

The Sunbeam microwave model SGS90701B may not be heating due to the following reasons:

1. Door Not Securely Closed – The door must be properly closed to engage the door safety lock system. If not, the microwave energy will not flow inside.
2. Control Panel or Timer Not Set Correctly – Ensure the control panel is programmed correctly and the timer is set.
3. Power Issues – Verify that the microwave is properly connected to a grounded power outlet.
4. Component Malfunction – If the above checks do not resolve the issue, there may be an internal component failure requiring service.

If the microwave still does not heat, contact the service center for support.

Is there a way to shut off the reminder beeps on the microwave Sunbeam? If not a way to shut off the beeping then perhaps turn the volume down?
