Is the cable between the modem and the decoder properly connected to one of the
TV connections ?
- Is the blue Belgacom TV screen displayed? If not, unplug the modem and the decoder
from the wall sockets. Wait 20 seconds. Plug the modem back in, followed by the
decoder. Start-up may take a few minutes.
•
If the problem persists, contact Customer Service on 0800 55 700. Operating hours
are 07.00 to 22.00 on weekdays and 08.00 to 22.00 at weekends.
Customer Service is not available on public holidays.
Ideally please call us from the place where you are experiencing the problem so that we can
resolve it together. Better still, call from your mobile phone so that we can test your xed line
straight away so you do not need to call back.

Navigation Belgacom TV uses menus for navigation. A menu is a list of options displayed on the screen. The arrow buttons allow you to navigate through the menus and to make your choice. You can navigate between most of the... -

Starting up Belgacom TV 1. Rebooting the decoder This screen is displayed when you: • reboot Belgacom TV after a power cut; • disconnect the cables; • disconnect the decoder. You can scroll through the list of channels after 3 minutes. About 6 minutes later you can navigate in the menus. -

2. Switching the decoder on and off To switch the decoder on and off and to access Belgacom TV, press the button. The picture appears immediately and you can access the main menu. Shortly after switching on the decoder, the menu bar appears at the bottom of the screen. -

Watching television 1. Watching and changing channel When you switch on the decoder, the main menu is displayed for 10 seconds after which it disappears automatically. You can then access a wide range of channels. You can change channel using the number buttons or using the button. -
Page 11: Pause And Rewind
(not available for all channels). 2. Pause and rewind What happens if you are interrupted in the middle of a programme? No problem: Belgacom TV allows you to stop the programme you are currently watching at any time or to rewind up to 60 minutes. Press the button or press twice to pause live television. -
Page 12: The Information Bar
The information bar While you are changing channels, an information bar is displayed at the bottom of the screen showing the channel, the programme and the start and end time. This information bar allows you to record programmes, to set a reminder and to view a summary. - Page 13 You can select "regarder" to access the chosen channel. Once you have selected a programme (highlighted in white), press the button to: • record the programme (see page 27); • set a reminder (see page 16); • view the summary (see page 14). You can use to switch from the programme list to the channel list and vice versa.

Press the button to display the menu bar. Press to access your desired selection. Press the button to confirm your selection. Press again to close the menu bar. 1. Guide TV Select "guide TV" in the main menu and press the button. - Page 16 Select the date for which you want to see the TV Guide. Press the button. The table of today's programmes is displayed by channel. Use to scroll through all the channels and TV programmes. One touch! to navigate more quickly page by page. You can view TV programmes for the next 10 days.

Select a category (e.g. sport, current affairs, films etc.) and press the button. Enter the title you are looking for using the remote control in the same way as you would type an SMS on your mobile phone. Enter at least three characters. -
Page 18: Set A Reminder
Press the button and select "afficher les résultats". Press the button to display the results. 3. Set a reminder Consider setting a reminder to make sure you never miss your favourite TV programme. 1 minute before the start of the programme, a message is displayed on screen and the decoder automatically switches to the correct channel. -

Select "rappel". A confi rmation message is displayed. Th e TV Guide uses the symbol to indicate a reminder. 2. A la demande Our list of on-demand content is growing all the time and you can access a wide range of fi lms of every genre, TV programmes, cult series, documentaries, concerts, etc. -
Page 20: Go To The List Of Films
A selection of films available on Belgacom TV is displayed at the centre of the screen. Press the button if you want to watch these films. One touch! 1. Go to the list of films Select "films" to choose from our catalogue. Here too you can navigate in a limited weekly selection of films displayed at the top of the screen. - Page 21 We also have a selection of films in HD and 3D. The availability of high-definition or 3D content depends on your installation and whether you are in an area covered by the HD signal. You can check this at www.belgacom.be/tv or with your salesperson.
- Page 22 If you have a Favorite or Intense subscription, you will be given cinema credits which do not appear on your bill. The credits are only visible when you rent a film. Once you have selected a film, you can see a brief summary as well as a trailer. To rent the film and watch it straight away, select "louer"...

You can also select films that interest you or those suggested to you which will be listed in “my selection”. You can then also see them in the Belgacom TV menu by pressing , "à la demande", "mes films". Then all you need to do is watch them when it is convenient. - Page 24 A list of channels with an "une offre à la demande" is displayed. Select the channel that broadcasts the programme you want. Each channel has its own sub-division method: programmes by day, in alphabetical order, by series, etc. Select the programme you want and press the button.

Then select "louer" and enter the purchase PIN code (default: 1 2 3 4 unless you have already changed it). Confirm your purchase by selecting " regarder"; the programme will start. 3. You can search for fi lms or TV programmes. Select "titre", "réalisateur" or "acteur" and enter the search criteria using the remote control (in the same way as you would type an SMS on your mobile phone). Enter at least three characters. -

You can get an answer to your questions directly on your television screen by simply pressing the button on your remote control or via the "aide" section in the main menu. There are a certain number of questions listed, depending on where you are in the menu you are currently in. -
Page 30: Record Tv Programmes
It is not possible to make recordings of the on demand catalogue. In some cases, you cannot watch one channel and record a programme on another channel at the same time or change channel while recording. For more information: www.belgacom.be/tv, "vérifi er la disponibilité de la TV digitale chez vous". - Page 31 Select the programme you want to record and press the button. Select "enregistrer". Select "exact" to specify the date on which your recording must take place depending on the start and end times shown in the TV Guide, or select "avec marge"...
- Page 32 The recording functions depend on your technical situation. To check what is possible where you are, go to our site: www.belgacom.be/tv, "vérifier la disponibilité de la TV digitale chez vous".
- Page 33 If you want to keep the recording for more than 30 days, select "supprimer" in the options window then "si espace insuffisant". If you do this, you will not be able to watch a different channel while recording is in progress. Once recording has started, you cannot change the initial availability of 30 days to indefinite.

Simply click on this icon to set the recording. You must login using your e-Services login and password. • This free service is automatically activated and is available for all Belgacom TV customers who have Belgacom e-Services and who can record programmes. -

Press the button to confirm. 2. Press the buttons (depending on the model of your remote control): the table of radio stations is displayed. Select the station you want. You can use to move from one station to the next. -

7. Paramètres Press the button to navigate to the right and select "paramètres". 1. Code parental Parental control allows you to block films, TV programmes and channels. Select the "code parental" option in the menu. Enter your parental control PIN (default: 1 2 3 4 unless you have already changed it) and press the button (see page 49 for more info). - Page 42 This code may be different from the purchase PIN code (default: 1 2 3 4 unless you have already changed it). Select "activer le contrôle parental" and press the button. A checkbox appears; if you press button again, the checkbox disappears: parental control has been disabled.
- Page 43 to enter the age category you want. Confirm by navigating to the right and press the button. Block TV programmes Navigate to "bloquer les programmes TV" and press the button.
- Page 44 to navigate to the age category you want. Confirm by navigating to the right and press the button. - The "Autoriser le contenu, programmes pour tous" is the most restrictive and only grants access to programmes intended for all audiences. - The "Autoriser le contenu, programmes pour 18+" is the least restrictive and only blocks access to programmes that are unsuitable for under 18s.
- Page 45 Hide specific channels This function allows you to block channels. Select "bloquer des chaînes" and press button. The list of channels is displayed with a checkbox for each channel. Press the button to select the channel to hide. The checkbox is then checked. Once you have selected the channels, navigate to the right and press the button to confirm your choice.

Enter the parental control PIN to view the programme. If you have enabled parental control, the symbol is displayed instead of or next to the title in the TV Guide and in the on-demand catalogue. To access the programme, enter the parental control PIN code (see page 49 for more information about PIN codes). - Page 47 Résolution d’image This option allows you to change the screen resolution depending on the type of decoder, the type of television and the range of channels you have. We advise you to use "réglage automatique". auto adjust The decoder automatically finds the best picture quality.

To scroll down the screen quickly page by page. Select the channel to move then press button. Select the channel you want to put in its place, then press the button. The two channels swap positions. Once you have made all your changes, navigate to the right and confirm the changes. -

7. Mes coordonnées If you have entered the necessary information in "mes coordonnées", you will be able to access a certain number of applications more quickly in the future (for example: competitions). This means you do not need to enter your details every time. -

The remote control Only use one remote control! You have one remote control for Belgacom TV and another to adjust the volume on your television. But what if you only had one? Turn your remote control into a universal remote. - Page 63 The remote control now works for your television and your Belgacom TV decoder. Functions for your television are limited to switching it on and off, adjusting the volume, the mute function and access to external sources. If you want to use the remote control for other functions, you must hold down the button while giving your TV the required instruction.
- Page 64 You can reprogram specific buttons on your Belgacom TV remote control. For example, you can copy the volume button for your home cinema to your Belgacom TV remote control so you only need one remote control to watch television and adjust the volume of your home cinema.
