SAFETY FEATURES
Tip-Up Safety Switch:
The Tip-Up switch is designed to switch the heater off in the
event that it is lifted or falls over. If the heater is placed on a very
indented surface or on a carpet with exceptionally long, soft pile
the safety switch may prevent the heater from turning on.
Should this happen replace the heater on a firmer, smoother,
surface.
Overheat protection:
In the event that the fan heater overheats (for example if the air
flow is blocked), the power to the heating elements will be
disrupted but the fan will continue to work. If this happens, switch
the fan heater off and unplug it from the main. Allow the unit to
cool for 10 minutes and then remove any obstructions to the
airflow. If there is no visible sign of damage, you may re-connect
the fan heater to the mains and check that it operates correctly.
