MOBOTIX ExtIO User Manual
3.1.5 Starting the ExtIO Using the Factory Default Settings
Under certain circumstances, you may have to reset the ExtIO to its factory default
settings (e.g. if the IP address is unknown).
Proceed as follows to start the device using its factory default settings:
1) If the ExtIO is powered on, disconnect the power supply by unplugging the
USB and Ethernet cables.
2) Reconnect the power supply of the ExtIO by reconnecting the corresponding
cable(s).
3) Wait until the left LED is permanently red.
4) Press the left button ("Lights") until the left LED
starts blinking green.
Press "Lights" button...
... as soon as LED lights up red
5) After several seconds, the device plays a sound twice ("Boing, Boing") and
the ExtIO announces its factory default IP address via the speaker. The ExtIO
is now accessible using its factory IP address (see label on the ExtIO
housing).
The factory default configuration is automatically stored in the Ext-
IO's permanent Flash memory. All settings will be reset to factory
defaults, including the password. This can be helpful if you are try-
ing to access an ExtIO that cannot be reached otherwise.
