NOTE
Very Important Information—
Read Before Operating Your
Dishwasher!
Normal Operating Sounds
his dishwasher does not sound like most
T
dishwashers—IT'S QUIETER.
Your Precision Direct Wash System® dishwasher uses
energy efficient motors for the wash and drain
portions of the cycle you select. Each cycle has a
series of water fills and drains for washing and rinsing
dishes. As each cycle begins, you may–or may not–
hear the drain motor.
The next sound you will hear is the splashing water as
it enters the tub. Then the lower arm rotates and
circulates water. This is followed by a pause and a
slightly different sound as the upper arms spray water.
If you listen closely, you will hear the change in sound
as the wash action switches from one arm to the
other.
PLEASE BE ADVISED: If you compare this
dishwasher to previous models, you may be
surprised at what you DON'T hear!

The UO error code on a Frigidaire dishwasher indicates a failure in the ventilation subunit or mainboard. It typically means the system is not receiving a signal that the vent is closed, which can be caused by malfunctioning wiring or a faulty vent assembly. This prevents the dishwasher from operating properly. The manufacturer suggests replacing the affected components to resolve the issue.

No, you should add dishwasher detergent only to the designated dispenser in a Frigidaire dishwasher. The detergent dispenser has a covered cup that opens automatically to release detergent during the wash cycle. This ensures proper dissolving and cleaning performance.

If there is no clog in the drainage system what else could might it be?

If there is no clog in the drainage system, the issue could be related to the dishwasher's drain pump, check valve, or control board. If pressing the cancel button immediately drains the water, the pump is likely functional. However, if drainage issues persist, check for a faulty drain solenoid, a kinked or improperly installed drain hose, or an issue with the dishwasher's electronic controls.

What does the number display mean? It doesn't seem to be running any water but it is doing something.

If a Frigidaire dishwasher is not running water, the display may show an error code such as "i10," which indicates a water fill issue—commonly caused by the water supply being turned off.

Error code i40 on a Frigidaire dishwasher indicates a drain line restriction. This may be caused by a kinked or clogged drain hose or a blocked dishwasher filter, which restricts water flow. Clearing any blockages should resolve the error.
