Operating the Self-Cleaning Oven
How to set the oven for cleaning
The control can be set to self-clean the oven using very
high temperatures, during which time the oven door must
be locked. The cleaning time can be set from 2 hours of
cleaning for light soiling, or up to 4 hours for heavy
soiling. Use 3 hours for normal cleaning.
Before Self-cleaning
1. Follow the instruction in "BEFORE SELF-CLEANING
THE OVEN".
How to set the controls to start the self-cleaning now
1. With the oven door closed, slide the latch handle to the
right as far as it will go. (Never force the latch handle
or you could damage the locking mechanism.)
NOTE: "dr" will be displayed and the control cannot be
set for self-cleaning if the latch handle has not
been moved to the locked position.
3. Press the UP/DOWN ARROW buttons. (The default
clean time of 3:00 will be displayed.)
How to set the control to start the self-cleaning
at some later time
The control can be set to start the self-clean cycle at
some time within the next 12 hours.
For example: Say that it is 7:00 am now and you want the
oven to be cleaned for 4 hours starting at
8:00 am.
Here is how to set the control:
1. Read and follow the instructions in "BEFORE SELF-
CLEANING THE OVEN".
2. With the oven door closed, slide the latch handle to the
right as far as it will go. (Never force the latch handle
or you could damage the locking mechanism.)
3. Press the CLEAN button. (0:00 will be displayed and the
'CLEAN' light will start flashing.)
4. Press the UP/DOWN ARROW button. (3:00 will be

remaining. (As the oven heats up, the door latch
mechanism operates to prevent the latch handle from
being slid to the left, and prevents the door from being
opened.)
7. After the cleaning cycle, the indicator lights will go
out and the clock will be displayed. (The oven door
cannot be opened until the oven has cooled down.)
8. Wait an additional 1
hours, then slide the

being slid to the left and prevents the door from being
opened.)

out and the clock will be displayed. (The oven door
