    The rating of the new power cord must be 15 amps (125 volts AC). For the International version of the T280P–T280C–T300, note that the power cord to be used for replacement must be rated 10 Amps (250 Volts AC) and must be 2.5 meters (or 8 feet) long minimum.

  • Page 6: Operating Your T280P-T280C-T300

    The T280P–T280C–T300 come with a magnetic security key. The key’s magnet must be inserted in the appropriate slot in the console for the treadmill to be functional. For security purposes, make sure to attach the key’s clip to your clothes prior to starting an exercise.
  • Page 7 SPEED L.E.D. will stop flashing. The CLEAR/STOP key allows you to cancel a program selection or to clear data not entered yet if you are using a T280P-T280C. If using a T300, this key will allow you to get into a PAUSE mode or to cancel any program.

    1.2 Pausing During an Exercise You can pause any exercise by pressing the PAUSE key (T280P-T280C). When this key is pressed during an exercise, the motor will stop and the running belt will slow down to 0 mph (0 km/h) within a few seconds. The stop is gradual, allowing the user to come safely to a complete stop.

    2. Setting Up the Computer to Your Environment The T280P–T280C–T300 treadmills offer unique features that allow the user to tailor the treadmill to its current environment.     The User Identification feature allows the treadmill to recognize individuals and automatically enter their weight along with additional information. The T300 will recognize two and the T280P–T280C will recognize four. The users will have the possibility to view or reset their own training statistics.

    Doing a warm up period before an exercise and a cool down period after an exercise is strongly recommended for your safety. In your T280P–T280C–T300, you have a feature that will allow you to warm up and cool down on your treadmill.

    2.13 Learn Program Bodyguard machines have the incredible ability to learn (pre-program) profiles. This is especially useful if you would like to build a workout profile in advance. You now have the ability to build a program without actually doing it. This is great if you are customizing a program for a client for example.

    2.14 Heart Rate Recovery Your T280P–T280C–T300 is pre programmed with a unique and useful program that is used to help determine your fitness level. After a program (workout) it can be used to count the time between the actual and your predetermined resting heart rate.

    4. Using a Heart Rate Receiver The Bodyguard Heart Rate receiver inside each T280P–T280C–T300 treadmill is specifically designed to work in conjunction with the ® optional Heart Rate chest strap. The Heart Rate chest strap allows the computer to monitor your heart rate, or pulses per minute. This value is shown on the computer screen and should only be used as a guide in helping you achieve your personal fitness goals.

    Polar wireless heart rate system. This includes a chest strap and a receiver. The receiver is an ® integral part of the machine and it is hidden inside. The chest strap is an option on all machines and can be purchased from Bodyguard Fitness.
  • Page 21 1. In the Diagnostics menu, select the ‘‘EPROM TEST’’ and accept it by pressing the JustGo / ENTER key. The EPROM TEST will perform automatically. • The display will show ‘‘EPROM IS OK’’ if the EPROM is intact and it will display a “CHECKSUM” code (for Bodyguard ® internal use only).
  • Page 22 Belt Alignment Should you need to adjust the tracking of the running belt, you must make all adjustments during the BELT ALIGNMENT procedure. To determine if the belt is not aligned along the center of the deck, measure the visible deck surface on both left and right sides of the belt.

Press the CLEAR/STOP key to terminate the test. WARNING – Do not stand on the belt during this procedure. The treadmill will elevate to a maximum of 15% incline. Allow the treadmill to raise and lower automatically.
