My scale is abConair MH300.
When I step on the scale it reads 888.8 but the first 8 looks like a reverse b, as if one of the lights in the 8 is not lighting. Then I get an Err message.

If your Conair Thinner scale stops working after one minute despite replacing the battery, check the following:
1. Ensure you step on the scale only after it displays “0.0”. If you step on too early, it will not function properly. 2. If “Err” appears, it may be due to a zero error or delta values exceeding limits (-99.9 kg or -99.8 lb). 3. Confirm the battery is a 3V lithium battery and properly installed. 4. If the problem continues, the scale may be defective.
You may need to use the warranty by returning the defective product with a sales slip and $5.00 for postage and handling. California residents can provide proof of purchase and call the support number for shipping instructions.
