Connecting the Headphones

Plug the supplied earphones [page 63, item 5] into the
headphones connector receptacle [page 71, item 6] of your
navigation device. Only use the supplied headphones.

Connecting an External GPS Antenna

If required, you can connect a conventional external GPS
antenna to your navigation device. This might be necessary
when using the device in a vehicle with a vertical windshield
(such as a truck or bus) obstructing the sight to the sky. Also,
some modern vehicles have a metallised windshield causing
a shield effect to the GPS signals.
The external antenna must have an SMB connector in order
to connect it to the corresponding receptacle [page 71, item
10] on the navigation device.
The device will receive the signals from the additional
antenna automatically: no further settings are required.

First-Time Setup

Prior to using the device for the first time, charge the

battery completely. The device can also charge the
battery while it is powered off.
1.
Use a thin object (e.g. a clip) to slide the main power
switch [page 71, item 8] of the device into the On
position.
2.
The manufacturer's logo and a loading bar will appear
for a few moments. After this, the message "For driving
safety, do not adjust the setting or operate this device
while driving" will be shown.

Confirm the setting by tapping this button:
